The Bristol Theatre Company is holding auditions for FOOLS, a comedy by Neil Simon.  FOOLS takes place in the Russian town of Kulyenchikov, a town from “long ago,” where the townspeople have been rendered stupid by a spell.  The town hires a schoolteacher to lift the curse by educating one of their uneducable citizens.  Mayhem ensues as the teacher has one day to accomplish the task and lift the curse.

Male and female actors, between the ages of 20 – 60, are needed. A Russian accent – or something that passes for one – is a plus.  Also needed, actors for non-speaking, supporting roles.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 17, from 4 – 8pm and on Monday, May 18^th from 6:30 – 7:30, at The Children’s Workshop, 410 Child St., Warren, RI.  Monologues will be provided.  Callbacks will be held at 7:30 on May 18^th.FOOLS will run from August 2^nd – August 16^th at Roger Williams University Performing Arts Center, Bristol, RI.
